THE SHORT ANSWER
Start here.
Cancel LinkedIn Premium from the Premium subscription settings in your LinkedIn account. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing cycle and you keep Premium features until then. LinkedIn advises cancelling at least one day before your billing date. If you bought Premium via iTunes, LinkedIn starts the process but redirects you to Apple’s subscription settings to finish it.

FOLLOW THE RIGHT BILLING ROUTE
Cancel LinkedIn Premium, step by step.
Billed directly by LinkedIn
Premium settings are reached from your LinkedIn account rather than from your profile page.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and open the Premium subscription settings for your account.
- Choose the option to cancel the subscription.
- Work through LinkedIn’s confirmation screens, which include retention offers before the final step.
- Check that the settings now show an end date, and keep the confirmation email.
LinkedIn advises cancelling at least one day before your billing date to avoid being charged for the next cycle.
Purchased via iTunes or the App Store
LinkedIn says that because of Apple’s privacy policies, it cannot cancel an iTunes-purchased Premium subscription on your behalf.
- Begin the cancellation on LinkedIn desktop or in the LinkedIn mobile app.
- You are redirected to the iTunes subscription management settings page.
- Complete the cancellation there in Apple Subscriptions.
- Direct any payment question or refund request to Apple — LinkedIn says it cannot provide billing support for iTunes purchases.
Before you cancel.
- Use your remaining InMail credits before the cycle ends — Premium messaging credits are a benefit of the paid plan.
- Save anything you want from Premium-only data, such as detailed profile viewer information or LinkedIn Learning course records, since access changes when the plan ends.
- Check whether the charge is a personal Premium subscription or a Recruiter, Sales Navigator or corporate-billed licence — those are managed differently, sometimes by an administrator.
- Note your billing date. LinkedIn advises cancelling at least one day before it.
What happens next?
- LinkedIn says that if you cancel a paid Premium subscription, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle and you keep Premium features until it expires.
- Your LinkedIn profile, connections and messages are unaffected. The account simply returns to the free membership.
- The Premium badge, extra profile-viewer detail, InMail credits and LinkedIn Learning access end with the subscription.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered.
Does cancelling LinkedIn Premium delete my LinkedIn account?
No. Cancelling ends the paid subscription and the account continues as a free LinkedIn membership with your profile, connections and messages intact. Closing the account is a separate action.
Why does LinkedIn send me to Apple to cancel?
LinkedIn says that because of Apple’s privacy policies it cannot cancel an iTunes-purchased subscription directly. You start the process on LinkedIn and are redirected to the iTunes subscription management page to complete it.
When should I cancel to avoid the next charge?
LinkedIn advises cancelling at least one day before your billing date. Cancelling on the billing date itself may be too late to stop that cycle’s charge.
Do I keep Premium features after I cancel?
Yes, until the plan expires. LinkedIn says a cancelled paid Premium subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle, and you continue to have access to Premium features until then.
Who do I contact about a refund?
It depends on who billed you. For an iTunes purchase, LinkedIn says it cannot provide billing support and directs payment inquiries and refund requests to Apple. For a LinkedIn-billed subscription, use LinkedIn’s own billing help — cancelling does not itself generate a refund.
