Pause instead of cancelling

- Open Membership details on the Audible website.
- Look for the pause option and check whether your membership is eligible.
- Note the resume date so the next charge does not surprise you.
Membership bought through Apple or Google Play
An Audible membership started inside an app store is billed by that store, and credits behave differently.
- Cancel in Apple Subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions, whichever matches your receipt.
- Note Audible’s statement that credits received through an App Store or Google Play Store membership do not expire and remain in your account after cancellation.
- Keep the store’s confirmation.
Before you cancel.
- Spend your unused credits first. Audible says a title obtained with a credit is yours to keep, so redeeming credits before your final billing period ends is the only way to retain their value on an Audible-billed membership.
- Check whether your membership came from Audible, Apple or Google Play — it changes what happens to your credits.
- Note that your Audible membership and any Amazon Prime membership are separate subscriptions with separate billing.
What happens next?
- Audiobooks you bought with credits or a card stay in your library and remain downloadable whether or not you are a member.

Do I keep my audiobooks if I cancel Audible?
